FIELDWORK

FIELDWORK: Mapping Scotland’s Business Archives is a project funded by the National Archives. Find out more here.

National Strategy

In 2010 the Ballast Trust, in partnership with the Business Archives Council of Scotland and with the support of the National Records of Scotland and the Scottish Council on Archives developed a National Strategy For Business Archives in Scotland. Find out more about it on the BACS website.

Archive Pacesetter

In 2010 we began using an archival management software called Archivists’ Toolkit to catalogue collections and manage our accessions. This was implemented as part of a project to ‘create electronic finding aids using Archivists’ Toolkit’.  This project was awarded archive pace setter status.  The project plan can be viewed here.
